It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen S. Bowman of Lawndale, North Carolina, who passed away on December 12, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Vernon Splawn and Mary Estelle Gosey Splawn; her husband Proctor A. Bowman; her son Ron Bowman; her granddaughter Sierra Helen Bowman; and her siblings, Bobby Splawn, Vernon Splawn and Margaret Splawn.
She is survived by: her children, Johnny Bowman of Polkville, Jason Bowman (Cherry) of Connelly Springs and Mary Bowman of Lawndale; her sisters, Shirley Glawson (George) of Forest City and Sylvia Scruggs of Forest City; and her grandchildren, Savannah Bowman, Alexa Bowman and Dakota Bowman.
