He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Lee Self and Laura Minnie Brittain Self; his son Ronald Self; and his brother Mike Self. He is survived by: his wife Beulah Frances Alexander Self; his children, Garry Self (Elaine) of Lawndale, Dwayne Self (Denise) of Cleveland and Wanda Milholland (Mike) of Lawndale; his daughter-in-law Paula Self of Claremont; and his siblings, Coy Self of Lawndale, Bobby Self of Vale, David Self of Shelby, Farrell Self of Cherryville, Merle Rhoney of Lawndale, Sandra Leatherman of Lawndale, Nell Baker of Conover, Joann Starnes of Vale, Coleen Boston of Lawndale and Judy Lovelace of Shelby. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
