She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie P. Padgett and Maudie Butler Padgett; her husband McDowell "Buster" Travis; and her sister Laverne Laws. She is survived by: her children, Steve Travis (Kecia), Donald Travis (Kathy), Ricky Travis (Tereasa Lail), Larry Travis (Vicki) and Robbie Travis (Kevin Lackey); her sisters, Doris Pryor and Martha Gouge; her children, Gary, Maxine Starnes and Hollis Travis; and her brother Johnny Padgett. She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hoyle Memorial Christian Fellowship Church (6841 Casar Rd, Lawndale, NC 28090). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
