It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fitzhugh Lee McMurry Sr. (Lawndale, North Carolina), born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on November 16, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee McMurry and Selma Miller McMurry; and his siblings, Dwight, Nellie, Bernice McMurry Hoyle (Foy), Bob McMurry (Margaret), Rev. Joe McMurry (Beverly) and Jack McMurry.

He is survived by: his wife Judy McMurry; his children, Angie Payne (Jeff), Audrey McMurry (Jason Eller), Fitzhugh McMurry, Jr. (Suzanne) and Bryon McMurry (Jenny); his grandchildren, Fitz McMurry III (Ashley), Nicholas Payne, Yancey McMurry, Isaac McMurry, Selma McMurry and Lillian McMurry; and his great grandchildren, Emerson and Lyla McMurry.
