It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doug Thompson of Lawndale, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on October 6, 2020, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fred Thompson and Dorothy Oaks Thompson; his brother Willie Thompson; his children, Steven Thompson (Stephanie) of Boiling Springs, Jamie Thompson (Connie) of Boiling Springs, Wesley Thompson of Shelby, Dawson Thompson (Isabell) of Shelby, Sherry Thompson, Pep Gash of Shelby, Angel Mosier of Ellenboro and Zane Mosier of Japan; his siblings, Dwayne Thompson of Ellenboro, Norma Bell and Debbie Thompson Wieland; and also Melanie Arndt. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
