She was predeceased by: her parents, Delmar Welch and Blanche Moore Welch; her husband Orville Lee Compton; and her siblings, Vida Lou Welch, William Welch, Jim Welch and Marilyn Roney.
She is survived by: her children, Janice Compton, Suzanne Cruz of Houston, TX, Penny Karlinsky (Nicholas) of Greenfield, WI and David Compton (Penelope) of Lake Worth, FL; her grandchildren, Steven Shull (Sissy), Jonathan Shull, Katie Taylor (Dustin) and Sara Kernes (Chavis); her great grandchildren, Steven Shull Jr., Carrie Shull, Dyana Shull, Suzanna Taylor, J. J. Summerall, Logan Summerall and Daniel Kernes; her siblings, Wayne Welch, Sara Headly and Pam Conner; and her pet Ruby.
