With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Burl Martin (Lawndale, North Carolina), who passed away on October 18, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. A. W. Martin and Ada Proctor Martin; his wife Betty Lee Shalp Martin; and his siblings, James, Andrew, Nickson, Frank, Charles Martin and Willie Sain.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Burl Martin (Angie) of Cherryville, James Cody of Shelby, Jeannie Lail (Thomas) of Waco, Innette Sisk (Tony) of Bessemer City and Donna Shannon (Ricky) of Lincolnton; and his siblings, Lester Martin of Vale and Betty Craig of Vale. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
