He was predeceased by: his children, Mike Pendley and Ann Norwood; and his brothers, Claude and Johnny Hollaw. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Bentley Pendley; his son Richard Pendley (Diane) of Lenoir; and his siblings, Jack of Boone, Gary Hollaw of Boone, Barbara Greene, Betty Reece of Asheboro and Shirley McCall of High Point. He is also survived by grandchildren; seven adored great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
