It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Johnson of Lawndale, North Carolina, born in Statesville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 7, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Lamar Lorenza Peeler; her grandparents, Peter Lorenza Peeler, Rebecca McClurd Peeler, Velus Ivester and Zula Edwards Ivester; her husband Glenn Howard Johnson; and her sister Annie V. Peeler.
She is survived by: her daughter Glenda Childers (Chris) of Lawndale; her grandchildren, Christopher Glenn Childers and Christa LeeAnn Childers; her siblings-in-law, Bobby Bruner of Hidebran, Tommy Ekard of Hickory and Linda Proctor (Danny) of Lawndale; and her caregivers, Brenda Strickland and Connie Coats. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
