He is survived by: his parents, Roy Michael Gilmore, Sr. and Linda Brockman Gilmore of Laurinburg; his brother Billy "Keith" Gilmore (Leslie) of Laurinburg; his nephews, Billy Keith Gilmore, Jr., Weston Gilmore and Benjamin Gilmore; his niece Charlotte "Charlie" Gilmore; and his close friends, Chilo Gonzalez and Ronald Berry. He is also survived by his aunt, uncles, many cousins.

In Michael's memory, the family requests for donations to be given to Scotland Regional Hospice, P. O. Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
