She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie "Red" Dial and Letha Mae Strickland Dial; her husband Joe Kelly Brayboy; her son Gregory "Greg" Dean Smith; and her sisters, Ruth Sweat and Betty Hunt.
She is survived by: her children, Edward "Lee" Smith, Jr. of Laurinburg, Wendy Jones (Michael) of Laurinburg and Tammie Hendrix (David) of Stanfield; and her siblings, Willie Dial of Laurinburg, Tommy Dial of Gibson and Effie D. Quick of Laurinburg. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
