She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Otis Troublefield and Ruby Haywood Troublefield of Marlboro County, SC.; and her husband Wilhelm "Bill" Currie. She is survived by: her children, William "Buddy" Currie (Celeste) of Laurel Hill, Jason Lee Currie (Donna Lynn) of Lumberton and Tracy Stricklin (Johnny) of Laurinburg; her grandchildren, Ashley Mitchell, Taylor Currie, Travis Stricklin, Jason Currie, Jr., Madison Currie, Caleb Smith, Jon Ivey, Brandon McLendon, Garrett Dowless and Tatelyn Dowless; and her great grandchildren, Lucas Ivey, Alyanna Madera, Noah Hicks, Natalie Smith, Mila Smith, Saylor Phillips, Layla Phillips, Kinslee Currie, Malcolm Meyer, Kerrigan Young and Kyson Dowless.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel (13640 Andrew Jackson Hwy, Laurinburg, NC 28352). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Hillside Memorial Park (11007 Academy Rd, Laurinburg, NC 28352).
