She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Deaton and Myrtle Deese; her husband Billy Hue Norton; and her siblings, Marshall "Buster" Deese, James "Peanut" Smith and Shirley Velazquez.
She is survived by: her daughters, Faye Barber, Kaye Steen (Darrell) and Laurinburg; her siblings, Larry Deese (Hilda), Linda Fournier (Neal) and Margaret Stubbs; her grandchildren, Brandon Barber (Tiffany) and Meagan Steen Eaton (Conor); her great grandchildren, Vera Barber and Jonas Barber; and her sister-in-law Carolyn Norton. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
