She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Charles Bowyer, Sr. and Essie Chavis Bowyer of Scotland County; her daughter Robin Brown Nuzzo; her siblings, Roland "Charles" Bowyer, Jr., Franklin Cecil Bowyer, Tony Wayne Bowyer and Sally Annette Bowyer; and her brothers-in-law, Woodrow Wilson Roberts and Linwood Roberts.
She is survived by: her husband Arthur "Art" W. Brown, Sr.; her children, Arthur "Artie" W. Brown, Jr. (Beverly) of Albemarle and Kimberly C. Brown of Aberdeen; her grandchildren, Arthur W. "Will" Brown III, Megan Brown, Breanna "Paige" Brown, Anthony Nuzzo and William Nuzzo; her siblings, Mike Bowyer (Ann) of Laurel Hill, Christine Roberts of Laurel Hill, Carolyn Bowyer of Greenwood, MS, Hilda Robert-Freeman (Wayne) of Florence, SC, Lois Bowyer of Cornelius and Pat Roberson (Garry) of Laurinburg; her close friends, Jim and Mary Caulder; and also Rylee Grace Ackers. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, extended family.
To honor Jean's loved for children, the family requests memorial donations be given in her memory to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
