It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Arthur Ward Sr. of Laurinburg, North Carolina, who passed away on December 8, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tony Samuel Ward and Mary Jane McFayden Ward; his siblings, Lawrence "Earl" Ward, Duncan Dupre Ward, Lillian E. Ward and Dorothy Ward Clark; his grandson Kevin Bolton; and his great grandchildren, Skylar Gibson and Hayven Gibson.
He is survived by: his wife Leoma Ward; his children, James A. "Jim" Ward, Jr. (Rhonda) of Fuquay-Varina, Sharon Taylor and Debbie Hudson (John); his sister-in-law Marjorie Ward of Laurinburg; his grandchildren, Chuck Bolton, Amie Graham (Randall), Crystal Gibson (Lee) and Hannah Hudson; and his great grandchildren, Triston Gibson, Aiden Gibson, Brantley Gibson, Ayla Graham and William Beckett Graham. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
