He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel P. Brown Sr. and Betty J. Sweatt Brown; and his son Patrick Carpenter. He is survived by: his children, Amanda Ferebee of Sweet Home, Michael Knight of Laurinburg, NC and Anthony Carpenter of Wasilla, Alaska; and his siblings, Herschel P. Brown, Jr., Darryl A. Brown (Sandra), Terry A Turner, Florence E. Brown and Angela Dean (Danny). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
