She was predeceased by: her parents, John S. Rorie, Sr. and Minnie Freeman Rorie; her husband Charles Dean Nichols, Sr.; her grandson Joseph McCallum Nichols; and her siblings, John Rorie, Jr. (Betty), Eugene Rorie, Zelma Griffin (Charles), Margaret Allen (Ben) and Bessie Strother (Dewey).
She is survived by: her sons, Charles Dean Nichols, Jr. (Candy) of Laurinburg, Ken Nichols (Carol) of Laurinburg and Phil Nichols of Laurinburg; her sister Maxine Gore of Oak Island, NC; her sister-in-law Sara Rorie of Charleston, SC; her grandchildren, Charles Dean Nichols, III (Hailey), Erin Nichols, Amanda Allen (Jordan) and Emma McGraw (Michael); her great grandchildren, Hudson, Harper and McCallum Nichols; and her grandchildren, Hampton, Everly Allen and Ellis McGraw.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (302 E Church St, Laurinburg, NC 28352).
