As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Brenda may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her father Willie Hicks; her granddaughter Jordan Chavis; and her sister Patty Locklear. She is survived by: her mother Ruby Caulder Hicks of Laurel Hill; her son William Dean (Courtney) of Lumberton; her grandchildren, Micah Dean, Israel Dean and Cain Dean; her siblings, Timmy Hicks (Robin) of Little Rock, AR and Dorrell Cribb (Gilbert) of Maxton; and her niece Tabitha Guinn. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Hillside Cemetery.
