He is survived by: his wife Virginia Nichols Sturgill; his daughters, Judy Caudill (Stacy) of Sparta, Janet Edwards (Ricky) of Elk Creek, VA and Susan Joines of Sparta; his grandchildren, Jodie Brown (Randy) of Glade Valley, Nicki Tilson (Jessie) of Independence, VA and Stephanie Joines of Galax, VA; and his great grandchildren, Taylor Brown of Laurel Fork, VA and Madison Brown of Glade Valley.
