She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Everett and Beatrice Marie Wilcox Brooks; her husband William Arvel Pennington; and her siblings, Mable Vernice Brooks, Jimmy Lee Brooks, Arthur Franklin Brooks, David Brooks and Clyde Brooks.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lynn Rice (Allen) of Laurel Springs and Diane McCoy (Mike); her sisters, Mary Testerman of Crumpler, Joyce Ford of Houston and Edith Chaisson of Kernersville; her grandsons, Aaron Cox and Ethan McCoy; and her great grandchildren, Katelyn, Kinsey, Teagan and Aksel. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
