It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ray Viers of Laurel Springs, North Carolina, who passed away on November 29, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his mother Virgie McGrady; his wife Mary Nell Huffman Viers; his siblings, Rex, Eugene, Junior, Ruth, Grace and Nadine; and his daughter-in-law Linda Viers.

He is survived by : his children, Johnny Viers (Debbie) of Laurel Springs, David Viers of Pigeon Forge, TN, Michael Viers (Diane) of West Jefferson, Debbie Cozart (Donny) of Crumpler, Jennifer Calhoun (Freddie) of Crumpler, Sandy Hamm (Tim) of Lansing and Faye Church of Laurel Springs; his brother J. E. Viers (Martha Privette) of Laurel Springs; and his pet Lonely. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
