He was predeceased by: his parents, William Conley and Edna Caudell Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Roten Brooks; his son Danny Brooks (Angela) of Laurel Springs; his grandchildren, Matthew Brooks (Katy) of Laurel Springs and Megan Brooks of Laurel Springs; and his great grandchildren, Colton and Everly Brooks of Laurel Springs.
