It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl Lee Shatley of Laurel Springs, North Carolina, who passed away on April 3, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Shatley and Velma Osborne Shatley; his brothers, Ray Dean Shatley, Glen Allen Royal and Robert Royal; and his close friend Maude Calhoun.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Johnson of Laurel Springs, Lib Walton (Bill) of Crumpler, Sarah Severt (Eddie) of West Jefferson, Betty Dollar of Jefferson, Larry Shatley (Louise) of Sparta, Gene Royal (Butchie) of West Jefferson, Victor Royal (Barbara) of West Jefferson and David Royal (Tabatha) of West Jefferson; and his close friend Debbie Dishman. He is also survived by his family and friends.
