She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Miller and Noreen Miller; her husband Venner Allen Thompson; and her siblings, Loma Morris, Leota Seal, Bonnie Carvy, Roger and Gary Miller.

She is survived by: her son Jimmy Thompson, Sr. (Alice) of Jefferson; her grandsons, Jimmy Thompson, Jr. (Charlotte) of Jefferson and Andrew Thompson of Kernersville; her great grandchildren, Grant Thompson, Wesley Thompson, Evan Thompson and Toni Thompson; her nephew Ronnie Morris (Jackie) of New York; her niece Vickie Miller of Indiana; and her friend Mattie Black.
