She was predeceased by: her husband George Severt; and her brother Bill Vannoy. She is survived by: her children, Annabell Hiatt (Carroll) of Ararat, VA, Steve Severt (Joan) of Gastonia, Kenneth Severt (Pat) of Lexington, Stanley Severt (Violet) of Winston-Salem and Michael Severt (Brenda) of Wilkesboro; and her brothers, Ward Vannoy (Barbara) of Jefferson, Wade Vannoy (Dorothy) of Jefferson and Russell Vannoy (Ann) of West Jefferson. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
