He is survived by: his wife Judy Rockwell Ellis; his daughter Donna Lowery (Al McKenzie) of Laurinburg; his grandchildren, Whitney Oberndorf (Eric) of Hayes, VA and Nicki Udelhoven (Craig) of Summerfield, SC; and his great grandchildren, Piper Oberndorf, Knox Oberndorf, Hunter Udelhoven, Delaney Udelhoven, Zadie Udelhoven and Gemma Udelhoven.
