He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleo Van Gibson and Marlene Thompson Gibson. He is survived by: his close friend Trolie L. Gibson; his sons, Michael Van Gibson II and Cleo Julius Gibson; his sisters, Amanda Gibson of Laurel Hill, Brandy Gibson of Hamlet and Nicole Gibson of Hamlet; and his mother-in-law Teresa Coleman. He is also survived by his extended family and friends.
