It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Margie Francis Jacobs (Laurel Hill, North Carolina), who passed away on February 26, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lincoln Francis Burgess and Blanche Smith Burgess; her husband James Jacobs; and her siblings, Mary Wombel, Jean Baird and Jim Burgess.
She is survived by: her sons, Eddie Jacobs of Gibson, Scott Jacobs (Angie Walls) of Black Mountain and Richard Jacobs (Amy) of Lumberton; her daughter-in-law Sandi Cheek; her brothers, Wayne Burgess (Lib) and Sonny Burgess; her aunt Dean Greene; her grandchildren, Blair Locklear (Tony), Megan Kozman (Rony), Ashley Jacobs, Paige Jacobs and Brady Jacobs; and her great grandchildren, Vincent Locklear, Samiah Sanderson, Gracie Locklear, Lincoln Kozman, Levi Kozman, Luca Kozman, Elizabeth Tanner, Preston Jacobs, Kyndall Jacobs, Liam Smith and Reagan Smith. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Laurel Hill Baptist Church (9560 Morgan St, Laurel Hill, NC 28351). A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
