He was predeceased by: his parents, James Albert and Edith Taylor Young; his wife Jerry Young; and his sons, Jeff and Jim Young.
He is survived by: his close friend Sarah Thompson; his children, Joan Young (Joey Whittle) and Brian Tilley (Beth) of Troy; his daughter-in-law Sharon D. Young of Gibson; his grandchildren, Justin Young of Burnsville, Jim Young of Gibson and Jesse Lisk of Hamlet; his great grandchildren, Christopher Layton, Candace Lisk, Jaddah Young and Kylie Young; his great great grandchildren, Harper Lisk and Carter Brown; and his sisters, Linda Halsy and Jan Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Faith Presbyterian Church, 2220 Elm Avenue.
