She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Everett Haywood and Evelyn Grooms Haywood Bolton; her husband Billy Joe Shoemake; her sons, Jonathan Lee Jones, Sr. and Jarrod Lee Jones; her sisters, Margaret Haywood Burandt and Diane Bolton Clark; and her great grandchild Jackson Asher Jones.
She is survived by: her son Julian Lee Jones (Shirlena) of Keystone, FL; and her niece Tara Stufkosky. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren.
Joann requested memorial donations be given in her memory to Fletcher Chapel Wesleyan Church, 1649 Hwy 381 North, McColl, SC 29570 or Scotland Regional Hospice, P. O. Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
