He is survived by: his wife Shirl Ray Pruitte; his children, James Kenneth "Ken" Pruitte, Jr. (Lela Walters) of Laurel Hill, Catherine "Austin" Pruitte (Thomas Wallace) of Laurel Hill and Kennedy Faith Pruitte of Raeford; his siblings, Christopher "Chris" Blake Pruitte (Carol) of Laurel Hill and Paula Pruitte Fairley of Raeford; and his grandchildren, Kameron Locklear, Abigail Locklear, Ariya Wallace and Karah Wallace.
