He was predeceased by: his parent George Walker Elvis; his wife Truly Mae Elvis; and his son Larry Elvis. He is survived by: his parent Jessie Roberts Elvis; his children, Dennis Elvis of Laurel Hill, Nancy Gilmore Shoemake (Donald) of Laurinburg, Sylvia Kolb (John) of Laurinburg, Angel Elvis of California and Debbie Chavis of Laurel Hill; and his siblings, Gordon Elvis (Joyce) of Rockingham, Letha Prevatte of Hamlet and Betty Seagraves of Gibson. He is also survived by grandchildren, thirty-eight great grand children, six great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
