With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eddie Jean Norton of Laurel Hill, North Carolina, born in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on December 5, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Courtney Heyward Kennedy and Emma McAllister Kennedy; her husband Ervin Norton; her son James Norton; her daughter-in-law Mary Alice Norton; and her siblings, Edward "Buck" Kennedy, Heyward Kennedy, Willie "Billie" Kennedy, Jimmie Coker, Louise Caulder, Nita Young and Ester Lee Gardner.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Wayne Norton, Sr. (Claudia), Okcuse Norton (Sharon) and Sandra Pate (Danny). She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
