With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Parker of Laurel Hill, North Carolina, born in Darlington, South Carolina, who passed away on September 19, 2021 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Thurman Smith and Dorothy Rogers Smith; her husband Charles Parker; her children, Danny Ray Parker and Debra Lynn Parker; and her siblings, Michael J. Smith and Margaret McCoy.
She is survived by: her children, Donnie Joe Parker of Gibson, Charles J. Parker (Amanda Sue) of Maxton and Beverly Ann Parker Dotson (Teddy) of Laurel Hill; and her siblings, Carroll Smith of Laurel Hill, Ralph Smith of Winston Salem, Joe Allen Smith of Oakes, SC, Billy Ray Smith of Tucson, AZ, Elizabeth Ann Walters of Wallace, SC and Patty Fay Altman of Florence, SC. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
