We bid farewell to Alton McSwain of Lattimore, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 29, 2024 at the age of 92. Alton touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Berry McSwain and Eula Jane Brooks McSwain; and his wife Goldie Ann Whitener McSwain. He is survived by: his children, Scott McSwain (Jackie) of Shelby and Julie McSwain Strom (Mark) of Milledgeville, GA; his sister Dianne McSwain Ware (David) of Shelby; and his grandchildren, Samantha, Ross White (Jan) of Shelby, Travis McSwain, Wyatt McSwain of Shelby, Mattison and Walker Strom of Milledgeville, GA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Beaver Dam Baptist Church (123 Beaver Dam Church Rd, Shelby, NC 28152, USA). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
