He is survived by: his wife Tammy Jones Hurley; his siblings, Wayne Hurley of Lansing, Ernest Hurley of Jefferson and Violet Brooks; and his half-sisters, Peggy Johnson of Lansing and Grace Miller of Wilkesboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
