He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruner James and Bina Mayberry Davis; his brother Rolin "Buck" Davis (Mary Stansberry Davis); and his brothers-in-law, Fred Carter and Ralph Woodie.
He is survived by: his wife Alene Vannoy Davis; his sons, Jeffery Lee Davis of Lansing, Thomas Mark Davis (Laneice) of Lansing and Brantley Jospeh Davis (Summer) of Lansing; his sisters, Mary Nell Carter of West Jefferson and Alta Ann Harless (Garrel Dean) of West Jefferson; his sister-in-law Mary Woodie of Statesville; his grandchildren, Kaleb Davis and Mollie Payne (Bryson); and his great grandchild Max Payne. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ashelawn Memorial Chapel (3470 U. S. Hwy 221 N, Jefferson, NC 28640). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at the Helton Community Cemetery (15309 NC-194, Lansing, NC 28643).
