With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Jane Hanks of Lansing, North Carolina, who passed away on October 20, 2023 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Avery Hanks and Maxine Griffitts Hanks; and her brother Bobby Hanks. She is survived by: her uncle Gary Griffitts (Ann) of Lansing; her aunts, Darlene Griffitts of Lansing and Geraldine Vencill of Sugar Grove, VA; and her friends, Cathy Clark (Billy) of Ashe County, Debbie Copas of Ashe County, Penny Grubb (David) of Ashe County, Katherine Sturgill (Edward) of Ashe County, Tonya Denny (Lee) of Ashe County and James Caudill (Anita) of Ashe County.
