He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Kim Ellison; his son V. J. Ellison of Grassy Creek; his parents, Leroy Ellison of West Jefferson and Margaret Wilcox of Lansing; and his sisters, Michelle Ellison of Grassy Creek and Nancy Ellison of Wilkesboro. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
