He is survived by: his wife Anna Mary Mast Shepherd; his children, Rev. Dwight Shepherd (Kathy) of Lansing, Derek Shepherd (Kim) of Warrensville, Anissa Imhoff (Tony) of Newland and Kyle Shepherd of Morganton; his siblings, Ralph "Rollie" Shepherd of Lenior, Garry Shepherd (Jenny) of Oak Hill, NC and Carol Gibson of Greensboro; and his grandchildren, Brandon Shepherd (Rachel), Kristi Lewis (Justin), Ryan Shepherd (Sammie), Ethan Shepherd (Maggie), Emma Walters (Dustyn), Quila Guy (Kevin) and Jessica Imhoff. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
