He was predeceased by: his father Paul Henry Darnell; and his great-nephew Kody Mullis. He is survived by: his mother Evelyn Osborne Darnell of Lansing; his wife Reda Osborne Darnell; his sisters, Mary Scott (J. D.) of Jefferson, Jan Elliott of West Jefferson and Melissa Greene (Scott) of Lansing; and his cousin Eddie Stansberry of Lansing. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
