He is survived by: his wife Linda Carol Roten Spears; his son Marty Spears of Hays; his stepsons, Jeffery Ham (Stacy) of Lansing and James Hamm (Kendra) of Crumpler; and his siblings, Charles Spears (Sharon) of Purlear, Garland Spears of Millers Creek, Sam Spears (Jackie) of Wilkesboro, Jimmy Spears (Mary) of Wilkesboro, Marie Baldree (Mike) of Grifton and Darlene Griffith (Gary) of Ferguson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
