He is survived by: his wife Ema Lou Brown Caudill; his children, Denver Caudill (Rita) of Lansing and Anita Testerman (Ralph) of Wilkesboro; his brothers, Gary Caudill (Mitzy) of Lenoir and Blair Caudill (Shirley) of Lenoir; and his grandchildren, James Caudill of Lansing, Tonya Denny (Lee) of Creston and Jeremy Testerman (Amanda) of Wilkesboro. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
