With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Ruth Hash Shepherd of Lansing, North Carolina, who passed away on December 4, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herschel Burchett and Callie Haga Burchett; her former husband James Preston Hash Sr.; her husband Worth Shepherd; her siblings, Blaine Burchett and Ruby Andrews; and her great grandchild Abigail Faith Jones.
She is survived by: her children, James Hash (Linda) of Sparta, Rachel Wolfe (Ralph) of Statesville, Wilma Barker of Lansing and Eva Louise Jones (Jerry) of Lansing; and her half-sister Rita Betish of Pennsylvania. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
