He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Stansberry and Rettie Miller Stansberry; his siblings, Jack Stansberry, Vaughn Stansberry and Ruth Craven; and his son-in-law Wayne Dowell.
He is survived by: his great grandchild Tom; his friend Bingo; his wife Norma Buchanan Stansberry; his children, Shelby Dowell of Lansing, Jeffrey Stansberry (Trish) of Gate City, VA and Colin Randall; and his sister Maxine Weaver of Oxford, PA. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
