It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nathan Willard Blackwelder Sr. (Landis, North Carolina), who passed away on December 9, 2018, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Irvin D. Blackwelder; and his siblings, Dan Blackwelder, Norman Blackwelder (Florence), Violet Blackwelder and Evelyn B. Moss.
He is survived by: his parent Mary Proffitt Blackwelder; his wife Margaret L. Davis Blackwelder; his children, Nathan W. "Sonny" Blackwelder, Jr. of China Grove, Kay B. Fisher of Harrisburg and Judy B. Mechum (James) of Landis; his grandchildren, Jeff Fisher (Tracy), John Fisher (Kim), Eric Mechum and Trudy Beverly (Eddie); his great grandchildren, Justin, Savannah, Ashley, Allyson, Cameron and Austin; his great great grandchild Carleigh; and his close friend David. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
