With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Lucille Blackwelder of Landis, North Carolina, born in Alexander, North Carolina, who passed away on June 11, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Will Davis and Josie Davis; her husband Nathan W. Blackwelder, Sr.; her daughter Judy Mechum; her siblings, Glenn Davis and Blanche Deason; and her grandson Austin Beverly.
She is survived by: her children, Kay Fisher and Nathan W. "Sonny" Blackwelder, Jr.; her son-in-law James R. Mechum; her grandchildren, Jeff Fisher (Tracy), John Fisher (Kim), Eric Mechum and Trudy Beverly (Eddie); her great grandchildren, JT Fisher (Kelly), Savannah Fisher, Ashley, Allyson Haywood and Cameron Beverly; and her great great grandchildren, Beau and Carleigh Fisher.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081 and Central Baptist Church, 1810 Moose Rd., Kannapolis, NC 28083.
