He is survived by: his wife Kim Reavis Carter; his children, Marcie Carter Barnhardt (Seth) of Mooresville, NC and Joseph Daniel Carter (Emily); his grandchildren, Izzy Barnhardt, Carson Barnhardt, Aubrey Barnhardt, Bayley Carter and Skylar Carter; and his brothers, Lynn Carter (Carmen) and Barry Carter (Dawn).
