He was predeceased by: his father Howard Lowe; and his brother-in-law Nelson Horne. He is survived by: his parent Margie Lowe Gibbs; his wife Wanda Lee Johnson Hawks; his sons, Rusty Hawks (Lisa Bentley-Hawks) of China Grove and Dusty Lowe (Vickie) of Lodi; his grandsons, Jesse Hawks of Chain Grove, Alex Hawks of Chain Grove and Garrett Hawks of Chain Grove; his sister-in-law Teresa Horne of Salisbury; and his mother-in-law Betty Louise Johnson.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be made to Landis Baptist Church, 110 N. Kimmons Street, Landis NC 28088, and Enochville Church of God, P.O. Box 216, Kannapolis, NC 28082.
