He was predeceased by: his father Edwin Stuart Powell, Sr.. He is survived by: his brother Edwin Stuart Powell, Jr. (Martha Kay) of Holly Springs, NC; his niece Amanda Powell Hite; his nephew Edwin Stuart Powell, III; and his caregivers, Harry and Kathryn Foley of Lake Waccamaw.
Memorials in his honor may be made to the Southeastern Community College Foundation in Whiteville, NC 28472.
